Startups are developing cooling apparel to combat the extreme heat caused by climate change. In Qatar, construction workers use uniforms by British startup Techniche UK, known as StayQool suits, which can cool skin temperature significantly. With rising temperatures, there’s a surge in demand for such apparel. Techniche has seen substantial growth, selling cooling technology-equipped garments in nearly 30 countries. The market for these solutions is expanding very fast. In the US and China, efforts are underway to create wearable technology that mimics air-conditioning and fabrics that reflect sunlight.
