The UAE’s trailblazing Zayed Sustainability Prize has announced 33 finalists for this year’s award, chosen from a pool of 5,213 submissions. The winners will be revealed at the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony on December 1, coinciding with COP28 UAE. These finalists, spanning six categories, hail from 30 countries and encompass SMEs, nonprofits, and high schools. The categories are Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action, and Global High Schools. The innovative solutions proposed by these contenders tackle pressing global issues and resonate with the four main themes of the COP28 UAE agenda. Over its 15-year history, the prize has championed initiatives that further both climate and economic advancements worldwide, positively impacting over 378 million individuals in 151 nations.
